Crepevine Restaurant, Burlingame, CA: I Call it My Own Personal Kitchen!

Crepevine, Burlingame, CA – I call it my ‘kitchen’ – since it opened in ’02, we have had close to 5000 meals here (no, seriously – I counted)!  It’s a casual neighborhood place, with something for everyone. The fruits and vegetables are organic, the fish and chicken are wild & free-range, and perhaps, most importantly, the staff, originally managed by the best restaurant manager in the Peninsula, Sam Makoul, are not only friendly, they become part of the family! If you go, ask for Giovanni or Carlos – and tell them I sent you!  (Since I originally wrote this, Sam has gone to manage a different location in Willow Glen, however, the team in Burlingame continues to be the very best because of the foundation they developed from Sam)

Great for a relaxed breakfast on Sunday morning.  Best in service and a friendly atmosphere.

My personal ‘Alison’-salad?  Small Tossed Greens, half arugula, half mixed greens, add grilled salmon, no candied walnuts, add beets and avocado, half tomatoes, with orange-vinaigrette on the side
